Fall armyworm, also known as fall armyworm, is one of the 17 first-class crop diseases and pests issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, which is highly destructive and difficult to control. Since the insect was imported from abroad in January 2019, it has rapidly developed infestation in 1 provinces across the country. In July 20, adult fall armyworm, which had migrated into Ganluo County, was first detected, directly threatening the safety of food production in the county.
After the occurrence of fall armyworm, Ganluo County attached great importance to it, promptly established a leading group for prevention and control, implemented the census and emergency prevention and control measures of fall armyworm, deployed the interception prevention and control belt in the northern part of Liangshan, and made every effort to start the battle for the prevention and control of fall armyworm.
Use high-altitude monitoring and reporting lights to scientifically carry out monitoring and early warning of fall armyworm
Since 2020, the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Ganluo County has successively introduced a number of Okuchi high-altitude monitoring and reporting lights, using the phototaxis characteristics of grassland armyworm to trap pests, and determine the occurrence of migration and colonization according to the situation of the lure moth. Since 2020, Ganluo County has installed Okuchi high-altitude monitoring lights in key townships such as Sijue, Tianba, Yutian, and Puchang, and launched radar network monitoring, and the effect is very obvious.
The high-altitude detection and reporting lamp of Okechi meadow uses high-intensity searchlight projection as the insect trapping method, and the projection distance is as high as 1000 meters, which makes up for the shortcomings of the traditional detection lamp to attract insects of migratory pests. The lamp uses modern light, electricity and numerical control technology to realize the functions of far-infrared automatic processing of the insect body and automatic operation of the whole lamp. Under the condition of unsupervision, it can automatically complete system operations such as insect trapping, insecticide, and drainage, giving full play to the advantages of the Internet of Things, and effectively controlling fall armyworm.
Establish "three zones and three belts" interception prevention and control belts
Fall armyworm invaded from the border and migrated north all the way into Yunnan, and Ganluo County, as an important gateway connecting Liangshan Prefecture to the Chengdu Plain, has a heavy responsibility for the task of arming and interdiction. After Ganluo County activated the monitoring and early warning of the "three districts and three belts" of fall armyworm, 29 Okuchi high-altitude insecticidal lamps were installed along 10 degrees north latitude, with a total length of 70 kilometers, building the first line of defense for high-altitude insecticidal lamps to block fall armyworm. As a result, the fall armyworm in transit and colonization was effectively culled in the interception zone, which greatly reduced the control pressure of fall armyworm in Ya'an, Leshan and Chengdu Plains.
Up to now, Ganluo County has made every effort to organize the battle of prevention and control of fall armyworm, and has achieved phased results, with the prevention and control rate of insect situation in the county reaching more than 95%, and the harm loss rate controlled within 4%. Okuchi intelligent plant protection equipment uses technology to protect the safety of agricultural production in Ganluo County and escort the local fall armyworm interception prevention and control work.
